Students learn more effectively when they have a strong sense of connection to their school community which is built on positive school wellbeing. I offer a range of services for schools to assist in building individual student, small group and staff wellbeing.
I offer the Drumbeat and Rock and Water programs in both the primary and secondary school settings. I can also meet with school wellbeing teams to design wellbeing programs to suit the particular needs of that school community, including parenting programs based on the 'Bringing up Great Kids' program. I have experience in Restorative Practices and running Restorative Conferences, which can be utilised in repairing student, caregiver and staff relationships.
Drumbeat
DRUMBEAT is an acronym for Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes, and Thoughts. It is a program that incorporates hand drumming, behavioural therapeutic principles, discussion and thinking elements to reconnect with ourselves and others.
The program consists of 10 sessions of up to 45min., with 6-10 students per group, incorporating the themes of;

There is a performance element included at the conclusion of the 10 weeks. Changes to the program can be negotiated depending on needs of participants.
Cost- $950 (10 sessions)
Rock and Water
Rock and Water is a program that uses physical activity together with discussion to teach children what it means to stand strong and to successfully navigate and resolve conflict. Working collaboratively with their peers, students can develop their confidence and build their self-esteem.
Schools are invited to consider what the Rock and Water program can look like in their own schools, with sessions run over a term or longer, for 30-60 minutes per session depending on the age of the children involved. Groups can be class or focus groups and may be mixed or single gender.

Bringing up Great Kids
Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) is a long-running and acclaimed parenting program developed by Australian Childhood Foundation. It is an integrated collection of activities and tools that offer all parents and carers a fresh way to understand and build positive and nurturing relationships with their children.
The program aims to support parents to review and enhance their patterns of communication with their children, to promote more respectful interactions and encourage the development of children’s positive self-identity.
Cost- $800 neg. (6 x 2hr sessions or equivalent)
